Winter Hats

Here is something I did with my Kindergarten class a few years ago that I thought some of you might be interested in..........the kids brought in a winter hat and wore it.....I put the kids in pairs and turned their desks around to face each other. They then had to draw their partners Winter hat (and the top part of their head). They did an EXCELLENT job! After hanging proudly on our wall for a while, I made it into a class book for them to read. We used oil pastels to draw with (in case you were wondering).
Don't forget that tomorrow is the start of our "Trekking across The States" adventure. I am so excited that I can hardly wait......Channing and I have been working hard all week :-) My blogging friend Leann over at Montessori Tidbits will be joining in the fun and I'll link each week to what she's been up to. I also have another blogging pal that may be linking up with us too - this is so much fun :-)

Michelle,
I just wanted to tell you that I stumbled across your blog and am so happy I did! You are amazing and I think we'd be good friends! I taught first grade for the past 6 years till I had my baby two months ago. I love all of your projects and printables (I'm a HUGE fan of all things DJ INKERS). Thank you for sharing your talents with us!

When I see things like this I always get a pull to go back to the classroom ... It seems you can never get it out of your system!
