We made a little snowman jar today that goes along with our winter unit. It was so simple!
Here's what you need:
Baby food jar (or some other kind of jar)
White pom poms (or cotton balls)
Little buttons
Black felt, paper or foam for the hat
orange felt, paper or foam for the nose
Black paint or a marker for the eyes and mouth
Ribbon for the scarf
I don't really need to explain how to put it together because you can tell just by looking at it :-)

Absolutely adorable!
Really cute! You could fill it with white candy! (or cotton balls...man, I really got to get my mind of candy!)
so cute... I was just thinking about what to do w/ all of my baby food jars! thank you for sharing!
This project is perfect. I have a little collection of baby food jars from the last few weeks. I was going to make snow globes with the boys, but we never got around to it. These little snowman jars look like fun and I have all the supplies on hand. Have a great day and thanks for all of your great ideas!
What a great idea! I can't wait to work on the winter unit Thursday and Friday. Thank you so much for sharing these units!
So darling!!!
This will be on our list of things to do! love it, karen
So cute!! I added it to my tumblr page: http://givinguponacleanhouse.tumblr.com/archive
THANKS!!!
This is an adorable idea. I did a guessing jar contest for my daughter's class this year and this would have been a perfect jar to do. Next year I suppose. I have an idea...how about instead of adding cotton balls as the snow, you use Insta-Snow? It's fake snow that feels wet & cold & would be a fun thing to fill it with. http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/product/instant-snow
This jar is really cute! It would make a cute gift too. I've included your post on my weekly favorites here: http://play2grow.blogspot.com/2011/01/weekly-favorites-for-january-9-2011.html
