B is for bubbles, boats, butterflies and bees

This week's wrap up

We've had lots of fun this week learning about the letter Bb. It actually took us a few extra days to do what I had planned because was really sick with some kind of virus. Thankfully it's past us now (and no one else got it) so I can share what we've been up to.
We matched letter tiles to a picture of a boat.

We played with boats in blue water (and of course read a book). It's been pouring for a week and a half here, so we had to do everything inside.

We painted a picture.

Lacing a bee that I found in the dollar sections of Michaels.

Blowing paint bubbles to make a print. Channing loved this one so much that we had to do multiple copies and are sending them to Australia to Grandparents, Aunts,Uncles and cousins!

We glued buttons on the letter b.

We tried our hand at pattern blocks. Channing found this quite hard and lost interest quickly.

Channing did an upper/lower case letter match and many more butterfly activities from Confessions of a Homeschooler.
We played a butterfly game I made when I was in college. Each player has a butterfly mat. Each butterfly has numbers on it. Roll the dice and cover your answer (if you have it) with a butterfly. The first person to cover all of their numbers wins. As you can see, Channing was the winner of this game!

We read this great book about Butterflies. You can find it here.

We did our letter b alphabet page from Totally Tots.

We made butterfly patterns.

We placed beans bags on body parts. As a side note, the brown mark near his lips is the remains of his adventure sneaking into my bag and tying on my lipstick! LOL.

We also practised out memory verse "I am the bread of Life" John 6:48 from our Songs for Saplings CD. You can read about this here.

Stay tuned for more Bb activities next week. I had way too many things to do in one week, so we're going to do bears and bats next week.
