Hi everyone,
Wondering if you’re still out there since it has been so long! LOT’s of things have happened since my last post. We sadly lost another baby in February and were surprised to find out that we were pregnant again in March! We kept things VERY quiet for a long time and I was extremely nervous……about a month ago we had our 19 week scan and this time decided to find out what we’re having (this is the FIRST time we have done this – I prefer a surprise but since we’ll be moving to Australia we thought it best for packing purposes to find out). We had the technician write it on a little card I made up :-)
A few weeks later we drove up to Maine to spend some of the summer with my husbands mom. My parents happen to be travelling around the States in an RV right now, so they came along too. The night we got there, we had a special dinner and told the 2 little guys that they were BOTH going to be big brothers. After dinner we opened to envelope with the gender card and discovered that:
We were absolutely SHOCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The is only ONE girl in about 80 years on my husbands side of the family so I was expecting another boy :-)
We are over the moon with happiness and will expect her arrival during the first few days of December! What an awesome Christmas present! The boys are THRILLED to be having a little sister…….Channing insists her name is “Love Heart” and that’s what he calls her.
That being said, we will lose our job 8 weeks after I give birth (there is a 2 child policy at the school we work at). Those of you that have been following me for a while know that we’ve been planning our big move to Australia for a few years now so this makes the perfect opportunity. As soon as our precious bundle arrives, we’ll apply for her Aussie paperwork and we think we’ll be moving sometime around March/April. We have started going through our things I order to sell and pack………quite and overwhelming task!
While Channing misses the cut off for Kindergarten here in the USA this year, the would be starting Kindergarten in Australia in January. He’ll miss the first term of school so I’ve decided to start Kindergarten with him myself……..I would MUCH prefer him to “know” what he needs to and just worry about making friends and adapting to a new country. We’re all set to begin next Monday.
More GREAT news!!!!!! I received an email from DJInkers last week that they are now selling commercial licenses to start selling things we make with their clip art………sooooooo all of your favorites (and some new things) are being added to my store. Check these out:
Yep, all my “Little Letter Books” are back! The whole set comes in one download – perfect for the start of school!
The color books are there too (with an Aussie version as a separate listing).
My “I Know Numbers” book……a newbie that I’ll be starting with Channing next week.
I had a request for this when my “Happy Father’s Day” book came out so I finished this one today! It’s a 20 page booklet to make with your kiddos all about their grandparents………what a hoot it will be to read some of their responses :-) Get it now so you have time to do it before Grandparents Day!
My “Happy Father’s Day” Book is up and ready too.
You can check all of these out in my store by clicking on any of the pictures above.
The next thing I’m working on my “I know Letters” book…..it’s ALMOST finished and will be listed by the end of the week.
In celebration of getting back into blogging, having a GIRL and being able to use my clip art once again, I’m having a give away!!!!
What you could win!
Choose any 3 of the items listed above
How?
All you have to do is leave me a comment below with an email address and you’ll be entered (Make sure you leave me an email though or it won’t count!)
Check back over the next few days for some info on curriculum choices for Channing and some fun activities we’re doing! I’ve missed blogging and am so excited about getting back into it :-)
It will close

Well, you already know that I'm thrilled THRILLED THRILLED to know that you're having a baby girl! We're still praying for you regularly, that all goes well with the rest of the pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that DJ Inkers has given you an option to use their clip art for your work. After all the craziness you've been through with them, I'm glad that your many graphics purchases will finally help you out!
We're starting MFW K on Monday with the creation unit. Is that what you'll be doing? (...with your own fun twists, I'm sure!)
I hate to think of you moving to Australia without ever meeting you in person. If only I could just hop on a bus and come visit...but that's a little tricky with three little ones in tow :(
Congrats on your baby girl! I hope everyone continues to be happy and healthy!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered in your drawing!

Very exciting times ahead! Just been waiting for a new post to pop up on my Google reader from you. I am happy that DJ Inkers is allowing commercial licenses because I just love the things you have made. I was able to get some of them before you had to take them down. I am looking forward to using some of them in my pre-k class. So, welcome back!
